Website terms of use

Last updated: October 2026

These terms set out the rules for using doccla.com (our website). By using our website, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our website.

In short

  • Our website gives general information. It is not medical advice or an emergency service.
  • If you use our app, devices or care services, separate terms apply.
  • You can use and share our content for personal use, but not for commercial purposes without asking us.
  • Questions? Email hello@doccla.com.

1. Who we are

Our website is run by Doccla UK Limited (“Doccla”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in England and Wales.

2. Our website is not medical advice or an emergency service

Our website gives general information about virtual care and our services. It is not medical advice, and it doesn’t replace advice from your doctor, nurse or other healthcare professional.

Our website is not an emergency service. If you need urgent help, call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent advice that isn’t an emergency, call NHS 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk.

If you’re a Doccla patient and you’re worried about your health, contact your Doccla Patient Support team or your healthcare provider.

3. Patients, clinicians and customers

These terms only cover our website. If you use the Doccla patient app, clinician dashboard, devices or care services, other terms apply:

If those terms conflict with these, those terms take priority.

4. Using our website

Our website is free to use. We work hard to keep it available and accurate, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free, or that everything on it is complete or up to date. We may change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time.

When using our website, you must not:

  • break the law, or act fraudulently or harmfully
  • try to gain unauthorised access to our website, servers or systems, or interfere with how they work
  • introduce viruses, malware or anything else harmful
  • use automated tools to copy our content in bulk, or use it to train AI models, without our written permission
  • pretend to be Doccla, or suggest we endorse you when we don’t

Attacking our website may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report it to the police where appropriate.

We want our website to work for everyone. Our accessibility statement explains how.

5. Our content and brand

We (or the people who license content to us) own everything on our website, including text, images, videos and the Doccla name and logo.

You’re welcome to view, download and print our content for your own personal use, and to share links to our pages. Please don’t change our content, or use it or our brand for commercial purposes, without our written permission. If you’d like to use something, email hello@doccla.com.

6. Links to and from our website

Our website links to other websites, such as NHS pages. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or how they use your information.

You may link to our website, as long as you do it fairly and legally and don’t suggest a partnership or endorsement that doesn’t exist. We can withdraw this permission at any time.

7. Our responsibility to you

Our website is free, and we provide it “as is”. We can’t promise it will always be available, accurate, complete or free from viruses. Please use it at your own risk, and don’t rely on it to make decisions about your health (see section 2).

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from:

  • using, or not being able to use, our website
  • relying on any content on our website
  • any website we link to.

If we are found responsible for any loss, our total liability to you is limited to £100.

If you use our website for business, we are not responsible for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

8. Your information

We handle your personal information as set out in our data privacy policy, and use cookies as explained in our cookie policy. For any data protection question, email our Data Protection Officer at dpo@doccla.com.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or our services. The version on this page applies whenever you use our website, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.

10. The legal bits

  • If a court decides part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
  • If we don’t enforce our rights straight away, we can still enforce them later.
  • Only you and we have rights under these terms. Nobody else can enforce them.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any protections your local law gives you.
